Trump’s Inauguration Gets a $1 Million Boost from Amazon

According to CNN, Amazon, one of the biggest e-commerce giants, is planning to donate USD 1 million to Donald Trump’s inauguration. It further mentioned that it will be making $1 million in cash donations and $1 million in donations in kind that will be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.

It is also rumoured that Jeff Bezos, one of the richest people and the founder of Amazon, will attend the inauguration. Jeff Bezos, in his X Account, mentioned, “Our former President showed tremendous grace and courage under literal fire tonight.

One In Many Ironies

Jeff Bezos is not the only one in the race, along with various tech leaders, who have added funds to the president-elect’s inaugural fund. CNN also mentioned that Meta has already donated $1 million after meeting Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago, making a contradictory move as 4 years back, the platform banned Trump from using it.

Also, it was in 2015 when Donald Trump made a huge accusation against Amazon for not paying taxes fairly. The statement goes as follows: “If @amazon ever had to pay fair taxes, its stock would crash and crumble like a paper bag. The @washingtonpost scam is saving it!
