Tan’s journey to the forefront of the tech industry dates back to her stellar academic background. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Master’s in Computer Science from Stanford University, she developed a keen interest in technology and problem-solving. 

With over 25 years of experience leading technology teams at renowned companies such as Oracle, TIBCO, SAP, and Walmart, Tan brings a wealth of expertise to her role at Wayfair. Her tenure at Walmart, where she served as Senior Vice President of U.S. Technology, provided her with invaluable insights into the intersection of technology and retail, setting the stage for her impactful leadership at Wayfair. Her responsibilities included overseeing engineering execution across various platforms, including the company’s website, mobile application, and technology interfaces utilized by associates and merchants in  e-commerce and brick-and-mortar operations within the United States.

Tan has been instrumental in shaping the company’s technological landscape since joining Wayfair in 2020 as Global Head of Customer and Supplier Technology. Her strategic vision and commitment to innovation have propelled Wayfair’s technology organization to new heights, driving the development of systems and technologies that enhance customer and supplier experiences.
